 OU Alumni Conference Calls On Jewish Leadership

Picture of  Cosby Show Every Month starting with November 19th the OU will be sposoring a series of training calls on Jewish leadership.  The calls are aimed at our college age alumni but are open to any alumnus who wants to listen in.

This month we start with People's Choice Award winner Writer/Producer Eric Brand (Cosby Show, Grace Under Fire) talking about how as a Hollywood Screen writer he overcame challenges to his Jewish identity which made him a better Jewish leader.   To join us dial (712) 775-7100   Access Code: 519294#


Alumni Activities - Save The Dates

- A Saturday night melava malka in Israel is being set for the winter.

- A unique reunion for alumni to spend Shabbat with their old unaffiliated friends will take place December 21-23 at the DoubleTree in Tarrytown New York.

- Alumni Shabbatons open to all alumni wanting to re-experience and re-connect will be held in conjunction with both Canada NCSY’s spring regional May 16-18 in a Lake Erie PA resort and NY NCSY’s Spring Regional May 23-25 in Camp Morasha also in Pennsylvania. 

- We've had two volunteers so far to plan a reunion in Chicago and are looking for a few more.

Job Openings

1)  We are looking for a webmaster who knows html and css to work for pay on the ou alumni web sites.

2)  A community Kollel in Pennsylvania is looking for a full time kiruv, and a part time kiruv / part time kollel person. 

3)  A Director of Community Programs at a prestigious Jewish academic institution located in Queens

4)  Director of Institutional Advancement develops and implements the fundraising plans for ta Nationally recognized Yeshiva in NY.. The Director will work closely with the Roshei Yeshiva, the Dean and its Board to: secure major gifts, identify and cultivate new prospective candidates for the Board; organize the annual dinner; and coordinate all advancement functions.
